Christmas at the Neighbourhood Centre

Christmas at St Davids Neighbourhood Centre 2015

We have had wonderful time celebrating Christmas this year.  From decorating Christmas trees to display at the church, summer fun and messy play at Stay n Play, to many Christmas morning teas for our social groups and finishing up with our Christmas parties for the clients and a night time bus trip to visit the local Christmas lights.   We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

Art Show 2015

Painting for Pleasure Art Show 2015

Red stickers appeared on many of the art works on display at the exhibition of work held by the Painting for Pleasure group at the Sunnybank Corner Cafe Community Room on 24 and 25 October. Members of the group, which meets on Wednesday mornings at the Neighbourhood Centre, enjoyed showing their paintings and making a contribution to Centre funds. The exhibition was opened by Cr Steve Griffiths, Councillor for Moorooka Ward, and sponsored by Connectors Plumbing, Mitchell’s Solicitors and Right at Home Services. Two of the group’s tutors, artists Joan Cooper and Jocelyn Gedge, also exhibited work and donated paintings.
If you enjoy painting in any medium, you would be welcome to join the group. Enquiries to solomonr@tpg.com.au or the Neighbourhood Centre.
